I agree it's completely unfair that they announced this after the ED deadline but one reason for the decision to reduce ED acceptance rates could be that the freshman class sizes have been increasing a lot in the past few years, causing a lot of stress on housing.However, UPenn might potentially have a higher acceptance rate. The university does not release admissions data so we can just estimate based on past figures. Additionally, Cornell did not release its acceptance rate for Class of 2028 yet.
